ABOUT
Mission
High quality craftsmanship and a collaborative approach to creating instruments according to the individual needs of artists.
Our goal is to bring out the ultimate touch and tone that a heirloom piano was designed to deliver.
History
Klavierhaus was founded in 1994 by Gabor and Sujatri Reisinger in New York City. The brothers became known for their high quality craftsmanship and their collaborative approach to creating instruments according to the individual needs of artists.
Their efforts have earned international acclaim from world-class performers as well as students, teachers, and music aficionados across all genres. Many of them found a friend in the brothers and a home away from home at Klavierhaus.

A New Chapter
Granted the incredible opportunity, Akos Prekop rejuvenated the rich history and mastery of Klavierhaus to bring the company to Canada in 2018.
Born in Budapest to a musical family, Akos' father owned Hungary's larges brass and woodwind retail and repair shop. Growing up with such inspiration, Akos spent years as an apprentice for one of the most established piano workshops in Budapest before moving to Germany to expand his skills at the Steinway&Sons Hamburg Factory.
After three years in Germany, Akos moved to New York to work with Gabor and Sujarti, where a very special and long-lasting relationship was created.
In the 14 years following, he has been the head piano technician at Steinway Toronto, chosen to work with major concert pianist such as Lang Lang, Yundi Le, Yuja Wang, Keith Jarrett, Diana Krall and Harry Connick Jr..
With over 25 years of skilled experience working with high quality instruments, Akos and his daughter are pleased and excited to expand Klavierhaus to the Canadian market.
